We are consistency asked if we run training classes of offer study resources for both Fire and Police Officers preparing to take an assessment center, many for the first time. Although we don’t, we want you to be aware that there are many resources online that might be helpful. These resource come in different forms some are text book style, some offer interactive training and some are in video format.
You would have to decide which format would be most beneficial to you.
There are a few text book style resources that have come up in conversation with some of our assessment center candidates. I have listed them below in no particular order and without any endorsement but just as some of the many recourses out there.
A.C. Ready at ACreadyprep.com offers two books one for fire and one for police: 1. Command the Fire Department Assessment Center link 2. Command the Police Department Assessment Center link
Mastering the Fire Department Assessment Center, Anthony Kastros link
Police Assessment Center Exam Training Guide, Alfred Donovan link
Video Training: 1. Fire Assessment Training Prep link 2. Police Assessment Center Prep link
Again, we do not endorse any of these recourses but it will help to let you know that there are many, many resources available to look at. Conduct your own online search and find what will work for you. Best wishes with your up coming assessment center.
